One of the most common misconceptions in exterior cleaning is that "pressure washing" is a one-size-fits-all solution. In reality, professional exterior cleaning involves two distinct methods — soft washing and pressure washing — and using the wrong one on the wrong surface can cause significant and expensive damage.

The cleaning power comes from the chemistry of the solution, not the force of the water. The solution kills algae, mold, mildew, and bacteria at the cellular level, then is rinsed away at low pressure.

Best used on: Home siding (vinyl, wood, fiber cement, stucco), roofs, painted surfaces, wood decks and fences, EIFS, and any surface where high pressure could cause damage.

Why it lasts longer: Pressure washing physically removes surface contamination but doesn't kill the organisms causing it. Soft washing kills the mold, algae, and mildew at the root, so results last 4–6 times longer than pressure washing alone.
